History of Our Club
Founded by Matt Taylor after buying his first MINI Cooper on the 12th of August 2005, Matt joined the well known global forum MINI2.
After a short time Matt decided that he wanted to meet local MINI owners with the same interests as him.
On the 1st of June 2006, Matt started up the Lincolnshire MINI Club by driving around local housing areas and looking for MINI Owners. Posting flyers and finding MINIs on his travels, sometimes handing a Lincolnshire MINI Club Flyer to MINI Owners when they had stopped at traffic lights, membership soon started to grow.
Matt has been featured in the Lincolnshire Echo newspaper regarding the starting up The Lincolnshire MINI Club, which has now resulted in him being the representative "young person's view" for driving in Lincoln for the newspaper group.
2008 saw the start of regular LINCOLNSHIRE MINI CLUB pub meets and for the first time we were a display attraction at both the Lincolnshire Show and RAF Waddington International Air Show. We also were a full page feature in the September issue of 'modern MINI' magazine.
